Visit with Indigenous & Turtle Island craft vendors, gather resource information from educational & community-based organizations, participate in children’s crafts, enjoy local food vendors and
Navajo frybread prepared by our Navajo relatives, Masen Tsosie and Caroline Begay, throughout the day.
Invited Groups include the Lummi Nation Blackhawk Singers and the Bird Singers from the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians.

48th Annual Honolulu Intertribal Powwow
The 48th Annual Honolulu Intertribal Powwow, presented by the Hoʻopili Tribal Council (formally known as the Oahu Intertribal Council), is a vibrant cultural celebration that brings together American Indian, Alaska Native, and First Nations people. This two-day event, held on September 21 and 22, 2024, at Hawaiʻi’s historic Bishop Museum, promises an unforgettable experience.

17th Annual Mauka to Makai Environmental Expo
April is Earth Month and there’s no better way to celebrate than with the 17th Annual Mauka to Makai Environmental Expo!
The expo offers live entertainment, hands-on activities, arts and crafts, a fish release, and educational exhibits that showcase ways to protect and preserve Hawai‘i’s environment. Attendees who complete the event passport will also receive a complimentary native plant. Limit one per household, while supplies last.
Free parking will be available in the back parking lot at Jefferson Elementary School beginning at 7:30 a.m., with free shuttle to and from the Waikīkī Aquarium courtesy of Waikīkī Trolley. Guests are also invited to bring refillable water bottles to stay hydrated with our water stations.
