Downtown Art Center is proud to present "The Essence of Things," an exhibition of prints, paintings, and sculptures by distinguished Hawaiʻi-based veteran artist couple George Woollard and Jinja Kim. On view from May 1 to 31, 2025 in the second floor Main Gallery, this show offers a unique exploration of visual form and perception by both artists, with some fresh new pieces from Woollard.
“There is a truth to the shapes, colors, and composition of art,” says Woollard. “If you acknowledge them, you can work with them. This exhibition gives attention to the intrinsic qualitative properties of things.”
